These are five original works are from artist Juan Leonardo Bravo’s exhibition called 1956. Quoting the catalogue, we understand that the name of the exhibition is inspired by a New York Times article from 1956 regarding climate change. We also understand that the artist communicates a critical judgement regarding the attitude that mankind had taken towards the problem of climate change. Juan Leonardo Bravo was born in Brooklyn and is a graduate of Parsons School of Art. With his collection, 1956, he preferred to address the general public believing that the problem of climate is not new, but comes from past and not a problem of the elite rather a problem for all.
